YOU COULD
GET
SCAMMED!!!

"National Business Trainers, Inc."
is not a real company. It is a fake, posted by the Federal Trade Commission to spotlight
the hazards of investment and business opportunity scams marketed through seminars.
Promises of quick, easy money can be a
powerful lure. Here's how you can avoid becoming a victim of a seminar pitch.
Take your time. Don't be rushed into
buying anything at a seminar. Avoid high-pressure sales pitches that require you to buy
now or risk losing out on the opportunity.
Investigate the business you're
considering investing in.
Be wary of "success stories"
or testimonials of extraordinary success.
Be cautious about purchasing from
seminar representatives who are reluctant to answer questions, or who give evasive answers
to your questions.
Ask about how much money you need to
qualify for the investment or sales opportunity, and ask about the company's refund
policy. Get this in writing.
Before you invest or buy into any
investment or business opportunities offered at seminars, check out the FTC's Facts for
Consumers brochure, The
Seminar Pitch: A Real Curve Ball. You can also access additional information on business opportunities and investments. |
